Who we are
Lokalhost SDN BHD (“Lokalhost”, “we”) operates lokalhost.net from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Contact Us.
These terms cover use of the public website and, unless a signed quotation or service agreement says otherwise, hosting, systems administration, PDPA work, custom software, and payments when we offer them. If a signed agreement conflicts with this page on paid work, the signed agreement wins.
The site is for businesses. It is not directed at people under 18.
Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy is the PDPA notice for this company. It is part of how we deal with you. On personal data, that notice and the PDPA prevail over these terms. Nothing here is consent to marketing, a sale of personal data, or a waiver of access, correction, or other PDPA rights.
We do not require an account to read the site. We do not run ad pixels. We process personal data only when you ask us to, when a contract or payment requires it, or when Malaysian law requires a record — as listed in the Privacy Policy.
The website
Content here is general information, not a binding offer. Prices such as “from RM 45/mo” are starting figures and may change. We may update or take down pages without notice.
The public site serves typefaces from our own servers. That is described in the Privacy Policy. Customer compute and storage still default to Malaysia.
Enquiries
A contact-form message is a request to talk, not an order. We reply using the email you give. Name, email, topic, and message are processed only to handle that enquiry, via Proton Mail, and are not used for marketing unless you opt in separately. Submitting the form is consent to that reply only.
You can ask us to close an enquiry on the Contact page. Details, retention, and rights are in the Privacy Policy.
Paid services
Hosting, administration, PDPA work, and custom software start when both sides agree a quotation or service agreement. Until then there is no paid obligation either way.
Electronic messages that form part of a contract may be kept as records under the Electronic Commerce Act 2006. Invoices and accounting records are kept as Malaysian tax and company law require (commonly seven years). You cannot require us to delete those statutory records while they must still be kept.
Hosting and your data
On a full-root VPS, you are usually the data user for what you put on the machine. We process account, billing, and infrastructure data to run the host. We do not read customer disks by default.
If we provide systems administration or PDPA consulting on your systems, we act as a processor of that content only under that engagement. You remain responsible for lawful use of the service and for data you place on it.
Customer workloads default to Malaysian facilities. Enquiry and operational mail may be delivered through Proton Mail, which is a transfer outside Malaysia, as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
Payments
If you pay by Visa, Mastercard, FPX, or another licensed rail, the card or bank network and our licensed payment service provider process the payment. We do not store PAN or CVV. We keep invoice and settlement references (amount, time, status, transaction id or last four digits if provided) so we can match payment to the contract.
Payment, tax, and security processing are not optional while you remain a paying customer. Ending the contract stops service processing; we then keep only what the law still requires.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site or any service we run for you:
- No scraping or traffic that harms availability.
- No attempts to break authentication or other systems.
- No unlawful, abusive, or deceptive content through the contact form or on hosted systems.
- No use of the service to infringe others’ rights or to evade Malaysian law.
We may keep short security logs (IP, time, user agent, path) and abuse reports to protect the network. That is not analytics and is not marketing.
Client Area
The Client Area login screen is for forthcoming customer access. Until authentication is enabled, that screen does not accept credentials, create an account, or grant access to systems. Fields are disabled. Any future session cookie would be for the login, not for advertising, as stated in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
This public site is provided as-is. To the extent Malaysian law allows — including the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies — Lokalhost is not liable for loss arising solely from use of the public website or from reliance on unpublished, informal quotes.
Liability for contracted services is set in those contracts. These terms do not limit liability that Malaysian law does not allow to be limited, and they do not reduce PDPA duties.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, including the PDPA, tax and companies legislation, and the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 where they apply. Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction, unless a service agreement says otherwise.
Changes
We will post material changes on this page with a new date. Continued use of the public site after a change means you have seen the updated terms. Contract customers will be told of changes that affect the paid service. Privacy Policy changes are posted on that page.
